Back to School

I wanted to post a few more pictures from the last Nike shoot in LA (see post below), that I took while we are were waiting for the talent to get ready. What inspired me to shoot these images was that we were shooting at a high school in the San Fernando Valley that reminded me of the high school I went to just a few miles away from this one. I don't know about the rest of you, but to me all high schools look about the same if they were built around the mid-century era. So I decided to kill some time shooting the things that reminded me of my days back at U.S. Grant High School in the valley. Like, oh my gawd! The bathrooms still look the same as well as the drinking fountains. And let's talk about those outlandish color schemes. One might think that in a hip city like Los Angeles, the color schemes might be a little more on the creative side. Well I think that the same person that has been choosing those boring institutional colors since the 1950's is still working creative their magic.
